On this page of the guide to Farming Simulator 22, you will find information about cotton cultivation - how to grow and collect, how to transport, and what can it be processed into at factories.
Planting and harvesting
Cotton should be planted only on very large fields (1ha and bigger). Cotton is a very specialized plant. Only a special cotton harvester can collect it. There are two models that differ in the shape of the bales - their overall performance is similar, so you can just decide to get the cheaper model. The main difference lies in the shape of the bales - fortunately, pickers and trailers support both types. The harvester automatically unloads a bale when it is filled. Of course, you can also unload the unfinished bale when you finish the job.
You do not need to use special trailers for bales - just e.g. a low loader or a flat semi-trailer with belts to secure the cargo.
Tools needed
In addition, you will need tools to transport it - there are special trailers for transport and a self-collecting version. However, one bale of cotton has a very large capacity (10,000l), so there won't be many of them in the field. You can also load them on any flatbed trailer or low loader. You can also use forks for loading but note that a bale can weigh a little, so use weights if you are using a front loader in a tractor.
The yield of cotton is close to 10,000l/hectare - one bale at maximum yields.
